Pierre-Alexandre Rousseau
Pierre-Alexandre Rousseau a consacré sa vie à ses passions et cela lui a permis de réaliser ses rêves les plus audacieux en dépit des nombreux obstacles qui se sont mis au travers de son chemin. Il a relevé d’impressionnants défis en ayant eu une des plus longues carrières de l’histoire du ski de bosses Masculine avec ses 15 années de performances à la Coupe de Monde.
Avec une force intérieure puissante, il a su se relever avec brio d’une importante fracture cervicale qui aurait pu le paralyser ou lui coûter la vie et ce, seulement un mois avant les jeux olympiques de 2002. Il a dû réapprendre à marcher, courir et skier. Devenir meneur du circuit de la Coupe du Monde un an près l’accident est l’un des plus importants exploits de sa carrière en Ski. Par 3 reprises, il n’a pu atteindre les sélections Olympiques, ce qui est normalement une formalité pour un Skieur qui a passé la quasi-totalité de sa carrière de 15 ans sur le circuit de la Coupe du Monde dans le top 5.
Champion du monde en 2007, il persévèrera jusqu’en 2010 pour pouvoir représenter son pays aux Jeux Olympiques de Vancouver en sol Canadien. Il offrira alors la meilleure performance de toute sa carrière devant ses proches et terminera 5ieme.
